Representation
Contour Motion is a Manufacturer’s Representative – we are paid by our Manufacturer partners to be their direct sales and support staff in our territory. Contour Motion does not buy/resell or Distribute.
Our team has many decades of experience in the Motion Control and Automation fields and we have a network of over 15,000 Engineering Contacts of OEM and End User Customers that represent over $15M in annual sales. All outside sales engineers are either Electrical or Mechanical Engineers and all we do is Motion Control and Automation.
While commission on all sales within the territory is our standard mode of operation, we are also open to Application Specific and/or Retainer based compensation with the understanding from potential partners that it has to make sense for both parties both in expectations and financial compensation. For any Non-Exclusive Territory or Application Specific Agreements, the commission rates are typically higher and the termination clauses are typically longer.
Standard commission rates can vary, but there is an expectation that any products requiring post-sales support must be at or above 10%. Of course, commission rate can also be negotiated for large projects in order to win the business.
